Battlefield 2042 is set to have a free trial for all platforms after a recent announcement from DICE. The trial will allow players to jump in for a selected amount of time free of charge on all major platforms.

Battlefield 2042 did not start off well, with a buggy launch and many of the staple features of the Battlefield series missing. For instance, there was no leaderboard feature, no single-player campaign, and many technical issues.

Initial Battlefield 2042 reviews were negative, but the game is in a much better state than it was at launch. And with that, DICE is offering a free trial for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation players. From December 1st to December 5th, Xbox and Steam trials will be available, while PlayStation trials will be available from December 16th to December 23rd.

The trial will give users on all platforms full access to the game and give players a taste of what Battlefield 2042 has to offer. Furthermore, during this time, players can also earn a new specialist known as ASAP. Overall, this trial comes at an ideal time for players to try out the game, as the third season of Battlefield 2042 has just begun, and with new maps and new additions to the game, many of the player base, while saying the game still needs additions, are also saying Battlefield 2042 is currently in the best state the game has ever been in.

In general, this appears to be a great time for players who have been on the fence about trying out Battlefield 2042, with the game being offered for trial. And Battlefield 2042 now available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Battlefield has seen more players than ever since launch.

The future of Battlefield appears to be bright, as the roadmap for Battlefield 2042 is packed. Season 4 will bring new cars, weapons, maps, and many more features for the players. On top of that, DICE has confirmed that season 5 is in the works for the game even before season 4 is released. Furthermore, DICE has just opened the beta for the Battlefield mobile game, proving the Battlefield franchise still has a lot to offer.

Battlefield 2042 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
