Battlefield 2042 - Sectors on a map

Each map on Battlefield 2042 is divided into several sectors, which have pivotal locations or control points that must be captured to secure victory. Sectors are usually named A1, A2, A3, or C1, C2, and C3. Players can storm these places and kill all the enemies at that location to capture the control points.

Taking control of these locations will force enemies to retreat, and result in fewer people spawning in that sector. After the team has cleared the vicinity of all threats and enemies, the message “Sector Majority Gained” will be displayed to confirm the capture.

8 Drain Enemy Lives

Battlefield 2042 - Team reinforcement score

In order to win the Conquest mode, players must kill opponents until there are no more enemy reinforcements that can be spawned in any sector. The total lives of enemies and teammates can be seen on top of the minimap at the left-hand corner of the screen.

Killing foes will slowly drain enemy lives, giving teammates the upper hand as the battle goes on. Constantly check the minimap to keep track of enemies and to avoid being outnumbered on the battlefield. Players can gain XP on each kill and assist, which will be accounted for at the end of the game.
