Those who have purchased the Premium Pass for Battlefield 1 and have the latest DLC, They Shall Not Pass, will be able to experience a neat Easter egg that makes reference to the character Carl Fredricksen's floating house in Pixar's 2009 animated feature film UP should they choose to do so. Interestingly enough, rather than simply have it out in the open in the first-person shooter's latest expansion, the developers at DICE make it a fun little secret by requiring fans to go through an unlocking process in order to trigger it.

As seen in the video below from the YouTuber known as jackfrags, Battlefield 1 players will first need to find three hidden bottles of wine near the A flag in the south portion of the map Verdun Heights which need to be destroyed. Once all of the wine bottles have been blasted to pieces, then fans will need to track down three weather vanes on the rooftops of a few different houses within the map.

After shooting the wine bottles and the weather vanes in Battlefield 1's Verdun Heights map, the floating house should rise up from behind the trees at the edge of the map. The home will be easy to spot, as it's going to be carried into the sky by three giant balloons that represent the colors of France's flag, as They Shall Not Pass is themed after the French army's role in the Great War.

Of course, this is far from the only secret that developers have squirreled away in Battlefield 1, as players began the hunt for Easter eggs almost immediately after the World War I-themed shooter released in the fall of last year. Some of the hidden treats are more complicated to find, as the "A Beginning" dog tag secret involves a convoluted process all its own, while others are simply out in the open, like the Dark Souls bonfire Easter egg that was recently discovered.

Those fans who have yet to experience Battlefield 1's They Shall Not Pass DLC and are itching to find the UP Easter egg for themselves don't have much longer to wait, as those without a Premium Pass can obtain the DLC on March 27. With any luck, fans will be able to uncover even more hidden trinkets within Battlefield 1's latest add-on in between now and then.

Battlefield 1 is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
