With a little more than a month to go until Battlefield 1's release date, it won't be long before fans are sent back in time to experience action similar to that of World War I. Bearing that in mind, those PC players who are looking forward to the first-person shooter's launch are surely wondering how much is going to be required of their gaming rigs in order to run it at minimal and optimal levels.

Thankfully, DICE and Electronic Arts have given PC fans about a month's time to prepare for Battlefield 1's release should they need to do so by officially publishing the game's system requirements on the platform, all of which can be found in full further below. Interestingly enough, some might view the final specs for exactly what kind of gear is needed to run the game as being tame, but of course, that all depends on how well-invested one is in their rig's hardware.

Whether players are looking at the minimum or recommended PC specs for Battlefield 1, they will need a 64-bit version of Windows installed and at least 50 GB of free space available on their hard drives. Beyond that, though, the aspects differ rather wildly, as the game's minimum requirements need an i5-6600K or FX-6350 along with 8 GB of RAM and a 2 GB HD 7850 or GTX 660. Naturally, a more pristine version of Battlefield 1 on PC will ask for even more out of one's system, as the recommended specs are an i7-4790 or FX-8350 with a Wraith cooler, 16 GB of RAM, as well as an RX 480 or GTX 1060.

  • Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 4790 or equivalent
  • Memory: 16GB RAM

Aside from the recent reveal of Battlefield 1's PC specifications, DICE also shared some of the changes it plans to make following the analysis of the data coming from the title's open beta. As it happens, developers are set to induce some balance adjustments, and a tweak as to how scoring works within the game's Conquest mode, which is the traditional 64-person multiplayer.

Needless to say, all of the platforms that support Battlefield 1 — that is, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One — will go on to receive the game on the same launch day. However, should some players want to jump into the action a little bit earlier than others, DICE and Electronic Arts are offering a Deluxe Edition giving some fans access to the title three days prior to to those with the standard release. Speaking of the plain iteration, it's important to note that the regular PC version is digital-only in North America, which could irk some players on the platform who wanted physical releases.

Battlefield 1 is set to release on October 21, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
