Some cosplayers really know their craft and can take it to a next level of accuracy. Nailing these iconic character looks is a true talent, and comic book fans continue to prove this more and more. Now, one cosplayer has used their talent to recreate the iconic Catwoman outfit worn by Michelle Pfeiffer in Tim Burton's Batman Returns.

Reddit user "cllownin" took to the platform to show off the work they put into an extremely accurate Catwoman look. There have been many renditions of the femme fatale character, some better than others, but she chose to recreate what is likely the most well-known version.

Catwoman is a very popular character for cosplayers as she's known for her very sexy look and mysterious attitude. Iconic trademarks include, of course, the skin-tight catsuit and cowl with cat ears, as well as a whip. She also happens to have a really great back story that many women can identify with and interesting motives. Catwoman is a bit of an anti-hero who grew up an orphan on the streets of Gotham before taking to burglary to survive. Of course, she does it in style. Because she's a bit of an enemy as well as a love interest to Batman, she sometimes is an ally to him.

Pfeiffer's rendition is one that is often quite highly regarded, but it's generally overshadowed. Halle Berry took on the character in 2004's Catwoman film, which unfortunately is seen as very poor. Not only is it a terrible movie as a whole, but it also is seen as one of the worst takes of the character. It was accused of being overly sexual and taking away the complex nature of who the character actually is in favor of exploiting her attractiveness.

She was also portrayed by Anne Hathaway in Christopher Nolan's highly acclaimed The Dark Knight Trilogy's final film, The Dark Knight Rises. While Pfeiffer's version is still likely the most often cosplayed, cinema's next version of the character feels promising.

The next time Catwoman will be on the big screen is in the upcoming 2022 film The Batman, which is highly anticipated. In that movie, Zoë Kravitz will be taking on the role with Robert Pattinson billed as Batman, Paul Dano as Riddler, and Colin Farrell as Penguin. While for right now that's the only planned live-action appearance for the character, The Batman is set to produce two sequels that she could possibly be in, and there's an opportunity for a solo spin-off movie.

Batman Returns is available to stream on HBO Max.
