The final chapter in Rocksteady Studios' Batman Arkham franchise is set to conclude in just a few weeks when the long awaited Batman: Arkham Knight hits store shelves later this month.

Arkham Knight has a wealth of added content planned for players, ranging from the massive amount of season pass content to a number of pre-order bonuses which include a couple of story packs. While we've been given information about the Harley Quinn content previously, fans have yet to see anything about the other story pack featuring the Red Hood. That is, until now.

The gameplay footage strangely enough comes from a very short TV commercial for Batman: Arkham Knight from GameStop. In the trailer, viewers see a couple of funeral home employees getting ready to head home for the night when a news report comes on detailing the antics of the Red Hood. At this point, the commercial flips to a very brief five second gameplay showing off the anti-hero in action.

Even with such a short glimpse at Batman's former protégé, players can see how different the Red Hood plays as the character seems to prefer flashier combat moves and the use of handguns, something Batman very much disapproves of. Like Robin and Batman however, it appears the Red Hood will also have access to some sort of grappling rope for use in combat as well.

What's interesting here is that fans still don't have a great understanding of what these pre-order packs are. Traditionally, the Arkham games have come with a slew of challenge maps, with additional characters being made playable through this mode. While that could still be the case here, the information and reports that we do know suggests that both the Harley Quinn and Red Hood content will be following in the footsteps of the confirmed Batgirl DLC in that they're actually story-centric content that doesn't focus on Batman.

With the game nearing the end of the development road, Rocksteady hasn't been shy about revealing details and new information. Just recently the studio revealed how New Game+ will work in Batman: Arkham Knight. Not only that, players will be able to control some of Batman's allies and preform some brutal finishing moves during combat through a new mechanic called Dual-Play. With all these new features and additions, Rocksteady is making sure this final Arkham game goes out with a bang.

Even though it's a small glimpse, what do you think now that you've seen how the Red Hood will play? Are you planning to preorder?

Batman: Arkham Knight is set for release on June 23, 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
