Back when the game released in 2015, Batman Arkham Knight had one of the most infamously terrible PC ports in recent memory. From bugs and glitches to full-on crashes, the game was such a mess that Batman Arkham Knight had to be pulled from PC storefronts as Rocksteady attempted to fix its severe issues.

The port has transformed into a much more competent PC game over the years, as is evidenced by a recent video by YouTuber Bang4BuckPC Gamer, who played Batman Arkham Knight with high settings in 8K. The result is a stunning rendition of Arkham Knight's world, which the YouTuber remarks runs at a surprisingly stable frame rate despite its prior issues on the PC.

The video sees Bang4BuckPC embark on one of the first missions in the game, in which players free Poison Ivy from Scarecrow's captivity and must battle a series of tanks while escorting the villain to the Gotham Police Department. From the offset, it becomes clear what a beautiful game Arkham Knight is, especially with the YouTuber showing it off in 8K settings.

Flying around the city shows just how much visual detail is stored in every location, and with the game managing to keep a constant 60 frames per second, its effects look seamless. There are only a few moments where Arkham Knight looks to be stuttering, with Bang4BuckPC noting a few dips in the frame rate.

For those wanting to play Arkham Knight in 8K that have a powerful enough PC to run 7680 X 4320 resolution, Bang4BuckPC offers some crucial advice during the video's opening moments. The YouTuber turns off enhanced light shafts, noting that the setting results in "black flickering," while also disabling motion blur and anti-aliasing. While the game maxes the frames out at 90, players can also allegedly alter the setting in a file outside the game. All in all, the video highlights how well Batman Arkham Knight has aged.

Alongside his recent Arkham Knight video, Bang4BuckPC has posted a number of other interesting 8K showcases, both for older and newer games. They recently released a video showcasing Horizon: Zero Dawn running in 8K, as well as Control, Metal Gear Solid V, Battlefield 3, The Witcher 3, and even Alien Vs Predator. Seeing these games utilize some of the most advanced technology currently available makes for an interesting watch, especially with titles like Arkham Knight that hold up surprisingly well.

Batman Arkham Knight is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
