If Batman: Arkham City is anywhere near as good as the expectations it has says it will be, it could easily win any Game Of The Year award. After its predecessor, Batman: Arkham Asylum, blew everyone away and earned positive feedback from many sources, it was no surprise that people are now eagerly anticipating the sequel.

At the pre-GDC Xbox press event last week, Rocksteady executive Dax Ginn revealed in an interview some more information regarding Arkham City. In addition to Joker, Two-Face, Catwoman and the like, he promised that in the near future, more villains would be revealed for the game. He also talked about the possibility of using the Batmobile and a release date.

From what we've learned so far, all the villains appearing in Batman: Arkham City will not ally themselves with one another, but instead be fighting one another in a huge turf war for the now-renamed Arkham City. Batman will have to struggle just to survive the chaos, especially with all the big villains targeting him for various reasons. Not only that, but the inclusion of Dr. Hugo Strange, who we know knows Batman's identity, could further complicate matters if he chooses to work with any of the other villains.

Arkham City is quickly shaping up to be one of the bigger A+ titles of 2011. Though multiplayer has not been included, that can actually be seen as a positive for the game, as the development team has been focusing all their efforts on providing an excellent single-player game and a worthy successor to Batman: Arkham Asylum. And while all the bells and whistles that people want to be included in the game may not appear, it could not possibly detract from the game as a whole. With the information we've received so far, and so much more to appear in the coming months, we can only wait as patiently as possible for fall to finally arrive.

What villains do you want to see appear in the game? Could the inclusion or lack thereof of the Batmobile affect the game at all? Is there a chance the game could fail to live up to expectations?
