Whether you've played Batman: Arkham City or not, there is a part in all of us that wants to be Batman. Who wouldn't? Billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne by day and then Caped Crusader at night? Batman embodies a lot of qualities that many wish they possess. Sadly, for most people, this will never happen (provided you also ignore the recently arrested guy who's attempting to be a superhero in Seattle). What's the next best thing? Being able to parade around in what could be the best Halloween costume anywhere. In that spirit, craft genius "batpirisss" has created an almost 1:1 scale Arkham City variant of the Batsuit.

Batman: Arkham City, despite some of the controversy surrounding the Catwoman DLC, still remains an incredible game that manages to capture all the aspects of Batman that make him great. Having trouble being convinced? Read our review and become educated. "Batpirisss," with a few friends, became inspired enough by the game to create a replica Batsuit -- and it looks pretty gosh darned fantastic! Unfortunately, it's not fully functional: it has no gliding cape, lack's Batman's bazillion gadgets, and won't make you a martial arts master. But it could win every Halloween costume contest you go to.

The level of detail in the suit is pretty amazing when compared to the game's suit. The color scheme, especially, is most impressive, being able to transition looks when viewed in certain kinds of light. Primarily grey and blue, the suit can also appear midnight black. Take a look at the images above and see for yourself.

You can view some details regarding how the suit was developed at the forum, TheEffectsLab. Certainly, the suit is an incredible accomplishment for amateurs, and it even rivals the Batsuit seen in the Christopher Nolan films. It just goes to show what a little ingenuity, love, and time can create.

Batman: Arkham City is available now for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The PC version will be releasing November 15, 2011.
