Batgirl set footage of a dangerous stunt reveals that this interpretation of the character may have been worthy of the bat mantle, despite Warner Bros. Discovery thinking otherwise. The filmmaking on display shows a level of practicality that may have been well-suited for the world of Gotham City.

Since the film's cancellation, Batgirl footage has been released online, which gives fans an idea of what kind of film they could’ve had. Very little BTS footage has any green screen or, from the looks of it, is even staged on a set, as it is all filmed on location using practical effects. This also rings true for the latest never-before-seen footage, which may be much more upsetting for those who were looking forward to another film in the Batman mythos.

Leslie Grace's stunt woman, Sarah Lezito, uploaded footage of her doing a wheelie to avoid Firefly's flames during a motorcycle chase through the streets of Gotham. Twitter User DCVERSO found the footage later shared by the BatGirl Film News Twitter account, which expressed that Lezito was explicitly brought on for this dangerous stunt. Firefly, played by Brendan Fraser, who spoke out against the lack of trust between filmmakers and studios, is seen standing on a fire truck and being chased by Batgirl. The scene is shot in the city streets, and the wheelie is performed so that the motorcycle shields Batgirl from Firefly's projectile flames.

The Batgirl directors have one condition for working with Warner Bros. again following David Zaslav’s public statement regarding the film's cancellation, as Zaslav suggested that it did not meet the level of quality that he thinks best represents DC Studios. However, it was later revealed that Warner Bros. Discovery cancelled Batgirl as a tax write-off, which suggests that it was axed for financial reasons. Besides, the release of this latest footage seemingly contradicts Zaslav's statements, showing that Batgirl would have been a thrilling film for the first-ever live-action adaptation of the character.

Fans and actors have pleaded with Warner Bros. to release Batgirl. Still, it is unlikely that Batgirl will reach the cultural impact of Zack Snyder's Justice League regarding fans fighting for its release, as the circumstances are different but just as disappointing
