Let's get it out of the way: Spoiler Alert for episode 5 of The Mandalorian. Those who haven't kept up with the program may want to step out and see it for themselves. For those who are still reading: The Mandalorian has finally revealed the true name of the little bundle of joy that has captivated audiences over the first two seasons of the show. Not only that, but the news was delivered by Ahsoka Tano herself, a beloved figure from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV sh0w.

In the fifth episode of Season 2, titled The Jedi, Rosario Dawson is introduced as the rogue Jedi Ahsoka Tano, taking care of a few threats as handily as she used to in the animated show. Not so long after, the Mandalorian himself arrives with baby Yoda in tow, and is offered a hefty sum to kill the Jedi himself. When the two finally meet however, things are a bit more cordial. Ahsoka explains that she knew one other member of the Child's race, referring to Master Yoda, and gives him a brief history of the Jedi, a story which of course, didn't end well for most of those involved.

The big revelation comes after Ahsoka uses the force to read the Child's mind. She discovers from this that his name is Grogu, which is less adorable than Baby Yoda, but is at least more of an actual name. Even more interesting is the Grogu's history. Ahsoka reveals that he had been raised on Coruscant by the Jedi, and was receiving training from multiple masters of the force. After the events of Revenge of the Sith however, he was stolen away and hidden somewhere with the intent of keeping him safe from those hunting the Jedi.

Of course, the Mandalorian is hoping that this means his quest is over, but no such luck. Ahsoka refuses to train the child, believing his attachment to the Mandalorian makes the idea too dangerous. She suggests letting his power wither away, but gives them directions to a new location that may be of use if he insists on having Grogu trained. Whether or not the Mandalorian and Grogu make it there is, of course, something that remains to be seen as the show progresses.

Season 2 of The Mandalorian is currently releasing weekly on Disney+.
