Several rumors have been circulating going into this year's E3 event, but one of them may not be true after all. According to some people, Avowed will be part of the Xbox showcase, but others suggest the complete opposite.

With E3 coming up later this month, many industry insiders are claiming to know what's on the docket for the various events that are set to take place. Nate Drake recently came out to support Venture Beat's Jeff Grubb's claim that Avowed will not be part of the Xbox showcase despite apparently being further along than fans think.

Nate Drake is a reliable industry insider from ResetEra and they have gotten several leaks correct in the past, and Grubb is even more well known in the industry. According to both insiders, Avowed will not join the upcoming Xbox and Bethesda games showcase planned for June 13. Nate Drake recently let their community know about the lack of Avowed at the E3 showcase, while his message has begun circulating Reddit and social media. Previous rumors have suggested that the upcoming RPG is well along in development but apparently, it isn't ready to be shown off beyond the reveal trailer from last year's games showcase.

Part of Jeff Grubb's recent Game Mess show discussed what may be at E3 this year and this is where Grubb doubled down on claims that Avowed will not be part of the show. Grubb has announced that he thinks Elden Ring will join Summer Games Fest so RPG fans have that to look forward to. A conversation stirred up by known inXile and Obsidian Entertainment leaker Sponger caused a lot of Obsidian fans to expect Avowed at E3 this year, but Grubb and Drake have both assured their audiences that this game may be shown off soon but isn't part of Xbox and Bethesda's show this year.

An employee from Obsidian Entertainment recently changed their LinkedIn page to suggest that Avowed may be nearing completion, but fans of the developer may not see anything new at the upcoming Xbox and Bethesda games showcase. Several fans join Nate Drake in the Reddit comments in suggesting that this could be good news for Avowed and a potential sooner reveal leading into E3. Since nobody at Microsoft or Obsidian officially announced that Avowed would be part of the E3 showcase, insiders and fans alike have only been speculating on if it will be there or not.

It's currently unclear whether or not Nate Drake and Jeff Grubb are correct in believing that Avowed will be absent from this year's E3 event. Considering E3 is merely days away, gamers don't have long to wait in order to find out.

Avowed is expected to release for PC and Xbox Series X/S next year.
