Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 has had a recent influx of new information surrounding the anticipated superhero title. The first current-generation game for your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man has recently been confirmed to be releasing September this year, and is one of the many PS4 exclusives releasing this year - alongside God of War and Detroit: Beyond Human. It has been confirmed that Spider-Man will never release on Xbox.

Insomniac Games has recently been teasing the reveal of two more suits as a pre-order bonus. after unveiling the first suit (Spider-Punk) last week. Two more suits have been hidden to be confirmed at a later date, and recently Insomniac accidentally released the trailer for the second suit to be revealed on their Twitter account. While the tweet was deleted almost immediately, users were quick to download the video and repost it to their own timelines. YouTubers who attempted to do so received a copyright strike from Sony.

Spider-Man's second pre-order bonus will be the Iron Spider suit for Spider-Man, according to the trailer. In the bottom right, there is a graphic stating that the suit is actually inspired by a suit from the upcoming motion picture Avengers: Infinity War. This does seem to be the case, however, the Iron Spider suit was actually introduced in the Civil War comics back in 2006-2007. The graphic does seem to be more of a way to advertise the upcoming film, rather than directly pay homage to the comics, but Insomniac may do so in the future when the suit is officially announced.

In the trailer, reposted by Twitter user Kulturpat, Spider-Man can be seen swinging around the city in the suit, and climbing onto a Manhattan skyscraper. Game Informer recently went in-depth on how the web-swinging mechanics will work in the game. Spider-Man also salutes a pedestrian while swinging past them - whether you can do this whenever you want while exploring the open world, we have yet to see. When Insomniac announce the suit officially they will most likely detail the ability that comes with it, as it was confirmed that each suit will have a unique ability, and you can customize them and assign them to different suits.

We'll be sure to keep updating you as more information is released this month for Spider-Man.

Spider-Man releases on September 7, 2018 exclusively for PlayStation 4.
