The Game Awards 2018 is not long from now, as the annual awards show is scheduled for next Thursday, December 6, 2018, and the event's creator, Geoff Keighley, has promised an action-packed affair with 10 new game reveals to take place during the ceremony. While it has yet to be confirmed, one of those titles could wind up being unveiled by the Avengers: Infinity War directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, as the filmmaker siblings are set to present at this year's show.

As indicated by a glance at the tweet below, it has only been established that the Russo brothers will be at The Game Awards 2018, but unfortunately, it doesn't offer any hints as to what the two could be presenting at the event. Some are speculating that they will be in attendance to officially unveil the Avengers 4 film's first trailer, while others are surmising that the Russos could drop a bombshell by finally revealing footage of the long-awaited Square Enix Avengers project. Building on these theories, a few fans are keeping their fingers crossed for both.

Of course, since there's no definitive proof of a potentially larger purpose behind the Russo brothers' appearance at The Game Awards 2018, there's always the possibility that the directors reveal nothing at all and just present an award. Then again, with the two filmmakers having been key figures in helping Fortnite host Thanos in the multiplayer sandbox survival title's Avengers: Infinity War crossover earlier this year, there's also the chance we could see the Epic Games release get some skins inspired by Marvel characters.

Taking all of this into consideration, it's really anyone's guess as to whether or not the Russo brothers presenting at The Game Awards 2018 has any broader implications for a big reveal of an Avengers 4 trailer, a new game, or anything else. With this being the case, we will simply have to tune in next week to find out what Geoff Keighley has planned.

The Avengers: Infinity War directors, the Russo brothers, will be presenting at The Game Awards 2018, with the show going live next Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 6:00PM PT.
