While the Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the largest blockbuster franchises in the world, dominating the box office isn't the end of Disney's plans for the Marvel characters. While theme parks and in-person gatherings have been under lock and key for a large part of the pandemic, Disney has still been working hard at preparing new Avengers-themed attractions to draw people back in once doors are able to open back up.

One location that is getting ready to finally cut the red tape is the Avengers Campus, a new Marvel branded area inside the Disney California Adventure Park. According to Disney, the location will be opening up on June 4th, 2021, which just so happens to be shortly after Disneyland as a whole opens up on April 30th, so visitors won't have to wait too long to visit the new area.

There have already been some announcements about what the Avengers Campus location will contain and what fans can look forward to. One of the first main areas is the Worldwide Engineering Brigade, which will feature the 'Web Slingers' ride where Tom Holland reprises his role as Spider-Man. This part of the park also includes the 'Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!' ride, which opened in 2017 and is now an official part of the Marvel location.

For those who get hungry, the food court nearby is inspired by Ant-Man and the Waspwhere visitors will be able to purchase various foods that have been grown or shrunk to unusual sizes. There will also be a Shawarma Palace food cart as a fun reference to the end of the first Avengers film. The Disney Parks Twitter account also released a sneak preview of the location for those who want to see what these places will actually look like.

As with many Disney Park locations, there will also be various Avengers characters roaming around the area interacting with guests and bringing the film characters to life. Heroes like Iron Man, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel, as well as a handful of others, are already confirmed to be hanging around once the doors open up, offering lots of great photo opportunities and fun interactions.

It was really only a matter of time before Disney finally got an entire Marvel-themed location up and running, and it seems to be starting off with a strong lineup of attractions. Hopefully when it opens up later in the year guest can enjoy the park safely in person.

Avengers Campus opens on June 4th.
