While 'Civilization: Beyond Earth' retains the familiar formula of its predecessor, Firaxis makes enough changes to keep it fresh.
Having never met a strategy game he didn't like, Matt cut his teeth in the gaming industry on the original Command and Conquer back in the mid 90's. Nowadays, he finds most of his gaming time being consumed by Civilization V, Mass Effect 3 and Assassin Creed co-op, and Sins of a Solar Empire multiplayer. When he's not cursing Ezio for jumping off a building, watching the director commentary of a Marvel film, or listening to a Screenrant Underground Podcast, Matt can be found playing with his kids, cooking some mean Italian food in the kitchen, or BBQ'ing in the backyard - Kansas City style (though he'd admit his style is more Memphis)! Matt holds a Bachelor's of Liberal Arts - English from the University of Missouri and a Masters of Business Administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University. A company man by day and a business entrepreneur by night, Matt still is trying to find his niche in the business world, in between family and gaming. You can follow him on Twitter @mattrowland1.
