It is now being confirmed by reports that Haruma Miura, known for his role as Eren Jaegar in the Attack on Titan live action movies, has died at age 30. Currently, it is believed that he committed suicide, however, the official cause of death has yet to be confirmed. Due to the nature of his death, we will be including resources at the end of this article for those who are struggling with thoughts of suicide.

Miura began his acting career at the early age of seven in a drama called Agri. He later went on to co-found a J-Pop group called Brash Brats, although the group went on hiatus in 2005. His acting career continued to thrive, however, and he went on to star in multiple series and movies including Kimi ni TodokeAttack on Titan, and the adaptation of popular manga Bloody Monday.

It's being reported that Miura was found unresponsive in his home in Tokyo before being rushed to the hospital where was pronounced dead. According to Kyodo News, Miura left a note, however, the details of that note have not been divulged to the public. Amuse Inc., Miura's management company put out a statement saying, "To fans and people concerned, we apologize for the worry and the inconvenience caused, but as to details we are still confirming and will inform you once again."

Fans of Miura and his work have taken to social media, sharing how his work has impacted them. One post that was shared on Twitter was a translation of a forum post by one of Miura's former roommates. This roommate went in detail as to how kind and respectable of a human being Miura was and regarded him as being an incredibly sincere person. The roommate also stated that Miura felt sorry for manga fans of Attack on Titan because he knew the live-action adaptation was a bad movie and has been afraid to watch it.
