In another sign that the second 3D revolution is going to be forced upon us whether we like it or not, Panic Button and Majesco Entertainment have released a trailer for their upcoming title, Attack of the Movies 3D. Allegedly, the movie-themed shooter will put gamers in six famous "action-packed scenes," albeit without attribution to the corresponding movies, and allow players to experience these sequences in 3D. The title claims that it is the first 3D shooter, ignoring the fact the Ubisoft's James Cameron's Avatar: the Game, which had third-party shooter elements, also released in 3D. In a sense, the developer of Attack of the Movies 3D may be correct if it considers only those 3D games that can be played on a regular television (Avatar The Game needed a 3D-ready television). Prepare to be amazed by this back to the future technology and check out the glorious 2-D trailer below: As you can see, the graphics are quite pedestrian, but this could be due to the fact that the game will be released on the Wii. We don't know whether the graphics will get a bump on the Xbox 360 version, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Attack of the Movies 3D comes with four pairs of the old cheapie 3D glasses, so if your local television station has a midnight showing of Creature from the Black Lagoon in 3D, you'll be prepared. Both single player and multi-player modes are included in the game.

Attack of the Movies 3D will be available for both the Xbox 360 and Wii on May 1, 2010.
