Before getting into the Povlov Complex lab, Atomic Heart players must solve four types of lock puzzles in Blood Courier: pattern, light, timing, and key disc. But as with most other gameplay mechanics in Atomic Heart, each door requires a unique code, pattern, or key to open. And it can get quite confusing. This guide, therefore, lists all door codes and explains how to solve lock puzzles quickly.

Blood Courier Light Lock Code

The first door is in section seven, above the hospital ward. Its code is “center, button, left, upper-right.” Push these light buttons on the pad to unlock the secret storage door.

There’s a puzzle that reveals the code. To solve it, follow the handprints to the bottom floor into the wrecked hospital ward. Stand next to the bloody curtain with a circle on it. Look straight ahead and memorize the pattern of all red circles. That’s the storage door code.

Blood Courier Pattern Lock Code

The second Blood Courier lock is next to the storage in section seven. To open the door, match the colored dots with the corresponding cylinders. Press A (Xbox) to reposition the pattern and rotate the dots using LT and RT buttons until the door is unlocked.

Blood Courier Timing Lock Code

Whenever the red light is on a lock cylinder, press the A button (Xbox) to snap. Do this five times in a row and in under 23 seconds to open the door. (Don’t press A on green-lighted cylinders.)

Timing locks don’t have a specific code and, as the name suggests, must be opened by pressing a button at the right time. In this case, the action is snapping, which is done by pressing the A button (Xbox).

Blood Courier Key Disc Lock

There is one key disc lock in the Blood Courier mission, which leads to the Povlov Complex lab. To crack its code, kill the Plyusch and grab the key inside the drawer in the adjacent room. Push the key disc into the lock to get the door open.

Toward the end of the Blood Courier quest, players face a compound door lock. This is no different from the previous puzzles except for requiring two codes. The first is a pattern lock cracked by matching the colored dots with the corresponding cylinders. And the second is a timing lock which is solved by pressing the A button when the red light crosses over cylinders.

Atomic Heart is available now for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
