Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends and The Secret Fairy might not have had the most bombastic announcement due to the title being leaked, but that has not hampered fan excitement over the upcoming sequel. With only one full trailer for Atelier Ryza 2 as the winter release period inches closer, publisher Koei Tecmo is holding a contest and it felt like helping out entrants.

The American branch of the publisher shared on Twitter the announcement of the second Atelier Ryza fanart and cosplay contest. Koei Tecmo confirmed that due to the popularity of the contest last year, it decided to bring it back in the lead up to the sequel.

To assist those looking to win some Atelier Ryza swag, with first place getting a crystal plaque, signed promo poster and, tote bag, Koei Tecmo released some reference material. On the official contest page, players can examine over seven characters from developer Gust's upcoming RPG including Ryza herself, Fi, Klaudia, Tao, Patricia, Clifford, and Serri.

The publisher provided two sets of reference material to make either a cosplay or art project come to life. The first are image sets of 3D models to provide a general overview of the characters from front, side and rear profiles. The next set of "character design" images are much more interesting with the concept art designed with an eye for detail.

Even beyond just the new reference material, fans might be able to use another source soon. It was confirmed that Atelier Ryza would be getting an official manga adaptation published by Famitsu Magazine. With the manga set to release in the "Fall," it may be a good spot to get different looks at the characters.

As Atelier fans prepare what are likely to be some impressive submissions for the contest, others are currently in the middle of questioning where Persona 5 Scramble's western release is. With the recent announcement of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and Koei Tecmo having a hand in the development of both, its gotten caught in the crossfire of irked Persona fans.

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & The Secret Fairy will launch this winter for PC, PS4, and Switch.
