Assassin's Creed has brought players across the globe to different historical environments at pivotal moments. Because of the variety of locations, players often like to guess where the next Assassin's Creed game will end up. In one of these estimates, one fan made a concept for what a Wild West version of the Assassin's Creed logo might look like if the series were to head there next.

After beginning in the Holy Land during the Third Crusade, Assassin's Creed has gone to Renaissance Italy, the American Revolution, Greece in the midst of the Peloponnesian war, and numerous other famous places at important times. Rumors often abound when it comes to the next game in the series. At the moment, however, Ubisoft continues its plans with additional content to Assassin's Creed Valhalla without any future titles being announced.

For most of the Assassin's Creed games, the developer takes the standard shape for the series logo and adds a unique flavor to it. Assassin's Creed Origins added the Eye of Horus to the logo while Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag added a skull. Reddit user MiniFridgeOnMars added a traditional sheriff's badge to the center of the logo, made the major design out of pistols, and added a Texas Longhorn skull to the bottom. Each piece of this impressive design individually would easily carry the message aimed for: a Wild West Assassin's Creed. Each one of these design tweaks would work wonderfully and, just with the final designs for the official games, it easily conveys the traditional symbol as well.

Though Ubisoft remains committed to Assassin's Creed Valhalla, released in 2020, it is always an interesting question as to where the next game will go. This design would likely not be far off from the actual design if Ubisoft decided to head to the American west. Though their previous designs usually stick with one or two alterations to the original to convey the new location. It remains unclear, however, where the next title will take the Assassin's Creed series.

There is a ton of potential in an Assassin's Creed game based in the Wild West. There are plenty of interesting historical characters and possible connections to Assassin's Creed 3 with this choice of time and place. Especially considering that the major conflict in the franchise, control versus freedom, is often cited in Wild West movies and games.

But there remains stiff competition in Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2. That game's success might point to a market for Ubisoft to draw from or it might mean the opposite. With impressive reviews and years of development, it is quite the measure for other games to stack up against. For now though, this design by MiniFridgeOnMars is a great display of what could be the next game in the Assassin's Creed series.
