Assassin's Creed Valhalla players probably still haven't done everything there is to do in the game. With a huge open world full of wealth, artifacts, and mysteries that encompasses Norway, England, and even some mythical realms. there's seemingly no end of enemies to fight, treasures to collect, and secrets to find. Despite this, Ubisoft has added even more content to the game in the form of its winter seasonal event, the Yule Festival. During this event, players can take on new quests, compete in various contests throughout Ravensthorpe, and even purchase new gear that was added to the game as part of the update.

As with most things in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, there's a lot to do at the Yule Festival, though in this case it is a lot more manageable. In truth, there are five main events that players can partake in, all of which work towards the goal of earning Yule Tokens to by event exclusive items. Some of these items are cosmetics like the settlement decorations and tattoos, but others like the armor set and weapons actually provide in game bonuses to Eivor. With events like this it's difficult to know where to start, so here's everything players can do in the Yule Festival event of Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

AC Valhalla Seasonal Quest - "The Case of the Missing Ale"

AC Valhalla seasonal quest

The first thing players should do after starting the seasonal event is take care of the two new seasonal quests. The first of these is called "The Case of the Missing Ale," and requires players to have built the Brewery in Ravensthorpe already. Talk to the person in the brewery and they will reveal that the Ale brewed especially for the Yule Festival has vanished, instructing players to track down Ake, Tekla's apprentice. Follow the quest marker to find Ake overlooking a bandit camp.

Talking to Ake will eventually lead to a brawl, as the drunken apprentice is a bit too foolhardy for his own good. Players must then infiltrate the bandit camp and recover the crate of missing ale, killing as many or as few of the bandits as they want in the process. At this point, the quest marker will glitch and tell players to go to Sciropescire, but Ake's boat is actually located nearby to the southwest on the river shore. Completing this quest will reward the player with 140 Yule Tokens, a good chunk that should let players buy a few pieces of armor or a weapon.

AC Valhalla Seasonal Quest - "Cow Catcher"

AC Valhalla Cow Catcher Quest

The other seasonal quest in Assassin's Creed Valhalla is called "Cow Catcher," and focuses on Bertham, a young farmer that found himself frightened of the cows he was meant to butcher for the feast. In order to start this quest, players will need to have built the cattle farm, so those that are running short on materials may need to go do a raid or two. Players will first learn that the cows have all escaped, and then Bertham will lead Eivor to the area where they've run off.

Using Eivor's raven, players should be able to find the general location of each of the cows. Once in the area, ride around in search of a cow and shoot it after finding it. With each cow killed, Eivor and Bertham will have some dialogue until the farmer reveals what really happened that caused the cows to escape. After slaughtering all four cows, head back across the river and speak to Bertham's mother. Like the previous quest, this will reward the player with 140 Yule Tokens, meaning they've now earned at least 280 Yule Tokens altogether.

AC Valhalla Yule Festival - Braun's Folly Drinking Contest

Yule Festival

Aside from these seasonal quests, there are also three competitions that players can take part in to earn more Yule Tokens. The first of these is a drinking contest with a man named Braun. This plays out exactly like other drinking contests, except instead of betting silver players will win 10 Yule Tokens if they manage to beat their opponent. Players may actually want to skip this activity, as it has been linked with a bug that causes Eivor to spawn in drunk any time the player loads the game.

AC Valhalla Yule Festival - Yule Brawl Fighting Contest

Win the Yule Brawl round 10

Speaking to Sunniva will let the player start the Yule Brawl, a series of hand-to-hand fights in which the only rule is "fight, drink, fight, repeat." After each round, Eivor will take a drink, restoring some of their health but also causing them to become increasingly inebriated. By the fifth fight, players will lose the ability to lock on and the screen will move around a lot. Though it starts off pretty easy, the last couple fights can actually be really challenging, but players that manage to win all 10 rounds will be rewarded with 70 Yule Tokens.

AC Valhalla Yule Festival - Twirling Targets Archery Contest

Fastest Yule Token Farm

The final competition that players can take part in is the Twirling Targets archery contest. Players will be given a light bow and tasked with hitting as many targets as they can within the time limit. The large green colored targets are worth the least amount of points, the medium sized yellow ones are the next best, and the small red targets award the most. Scoring over 1200 points in this will grant the player 40 Yule Tokens. Because of how quickly this can be achieved by skilled archers, this is the best way to grind Yule Tokens.

AC Valhalla - Norvid's Festival Shop and Rewards

AC Valhalla Yule Festival Rewards

Once players have had their fill of everything that the Yule Festival has to offer, they should return to Norvid to spend their hard earned Yule Tokens. Norvid sells a full set of Modraniht Ceremonial armor for 60 tokens a piece, a Modraniht Ceremonial Seax and Shield for 150 tokens a piece, four tattoo schemes for 20 tokens each, and five settlement decorations that cost 15 tokens each (with the exception of the Yule Beech Tree that costs 35 tokens). All of these items are exclusive to the event and will no longer be available after January 7th, so players that want to get it all should brush up on their archery skills.
