Treasure Hoard Maps, and the bounty they lead to, are excellent ways to pick up a ton of resources that would otherwise take hours of hunting, trading, and exploring to acquire. There is some problem-solving that needs to be done, however, using one's brain can be a nice change to unleashing one's brawn in a game as action-packed as Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Therefore the Treasure Hoards in Ireland, via the Wrath of the Druids DLC, should definitely be snagged while Eivor is adventuring around the isle of shamrocks and Celtic magic. One of the quickest and easiest of these treasures to be found after starting this DLC is the Brega Hoard Treasure, as the map and loot are located fairly close together and both are found in the diverse and interesting Meath region.

While collecting the lovely loot from treasure hoards will not usually grant unique weapons, armor, or other important bits of gear (or story-related items), the resources that they give always make them worth finding, for there is a lot of crafting and upgrading to be done in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. If leather, iron, and more (including both common and uncommon goods) are what one seeks, then get ready to do some treasure hunting!

Finding The Treasure Map

Upon the map of Ireland, in the northern half of the Meath region, players will spot a conspicuous trench thanks to the map's detailed topographical information. The Brega Hoard Treasure Map is located in the northern part of this subtly sloping shallow canyon and is almost exactly halfway between the city of Armagh and the viewpoint at Tullagh Laght.

Be warned, however, that the chest containing the treasure map is guarded by some insanely resilient wolves. These are not normal wolves; they are werewolves, though Eivor will only see them in their more monstrous form after completing a specific main quest in the Wrath of the Druids DLC.

But if players have not delved quite that far into the main story of Ireland, they will just appear as regular wolves that have an absolute ton of health each. To put it in perspective, players who have Eivor at between level 150 and 200 on average claimed that it took about 5 full minutes to slay the pair of furry fiends guarding this chest. However, once they are felled, the most challenging part of acquiring the treasure is over. Open up the chest here for some loot and the Brega Hoard Treasure Map.

Following The Map To The Treasure Hoard

After opening up one's inventory and checking out the map, players might at first be a bit confused by the wavy lines and circles. That is until they take a gander at the game's true map and spot similar formations in Meath. Southeast of Tullagh Laght, one will notice organic linear patterns and some circular markings much like those on the Brega Hoard Map.

The wavy lines are simple roads that run around the Boyne Tombs location and the circles are manmade plateaus that act as crypts for fallen individuals of renown. There are three such circular crypts, as indicated on the Brega Hoard Map, and the treasure one seeks is located on the eastern side of the northernmost burial structure. Hop on one's steed and gallop over there to find the desired treasure.

Looting The Treasure

Reaching the northernmost burial mound is not quite enough to attain the treasure, as it will remain hidden until Eivor is basically standing on top of it (as with all treasure hoards to prevent players from accidentally stumbling across them). Even one's Eagle Vision cannot scope it out from a distance, therefore gamers will have to follow the hints given by the map in order to truly locate the loot along the side of this circular structure.

As can be noted from looking at the Brega Hoard Map, the treasure is on the eastern side; exactly the opposite side as where the crossroads are. Using the simple dirt paths as a marker, players can deduce the exact spot where one can loot the sought-after wealth.

Approach the narrowed-down section and interact with the "Loot" prompt to collect the prize in the form of a whole host of common and uncommon resources as well as a hefty purse of silver. While there aren't any noteworthy unique items here, these goods are still massively important to crafting and upgrading, so be sure to put them to great use by enhancing one's quiver, rations pouch, and bringing some to a blacksmith to hone one's weapons.
