While playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla, it's easy to get lost in its huge number of collectibles. Between various types of wealth scattered throughout England, artifacts to collect or destroy, and mysteries to solve, there's no shortage of things to do in the game. At the same time, the great number of these can make it incredibly easy to miss one, so it's likely that many fans completely overlooked an interesting and funny reference to Winnie the Pooh. This mystery can be found on the border of Cent, and sees players help a young boy gather honey for his mysterious friend.

For those that didn't spend a ton of time reading notes and completing mysteries, there are actually a ton of these kinds of references in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. A few examples of this include when players meet Otta Sluggasson, voice acted by the LA Dodgers outfielder and first baseman, Cody Bellinger, or the time they found a note that seems to depict a group of D&D character sheets.

In order to find the Winnie the Pooh Easter egg, players need to head to the region of Cent. On the southwest border between Cent and Suthsexe, players should find a world event mystery. It will be easy to tell they are in the right place because a large tree with a door leading into it sits in the center of a clearing. Also around this area are a young boy getting stung by bees that are coming from several nearby beehives.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Winnie the Pooh reference

After talking to the boy, he reveals that he is trying to get some honey for his friend. The player needs to approach the furthest beehive and interact with it in order to collect the honey. Place it on the rock in front of the large tree and go and wait with the boy for his friend, whom he now reveals is named Winifred, comes back. After a while, a large bear will come lumbering over to the honey, and the young boy lights up with excitement. It shouldn't be hard to tell by now that this Winifred is a direct reference to Winnie the Pooh, and the boy represents Christopher Robin. To make this Easter egg even better and as another example of attention detail in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, it is found in the approximate location of Ashdown Forest, the place that the 100 Acre Woods was based off of.

This not only serves as a fun Easter egg but also as an easy to complete mystery. Players looking for some quick and dirty experience should certainly knock this one out, as it doesn't take long and rewards a lot of experience. What's more, it's also one of the few times that players will be able to get close to a bear in the game, as most bears in Assassin's Creed Valhalla will attack on sight.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
