Assassin's Creed Valhalla developers teased on Twitter that the game's next big update is right around the corner. In fact, Assassin's Creed Valhalla users can apparently expect to see some new content as early as next week.

Since its launch last month, Assassin's Creed Valhalla has been getting plenty of little fixes here and there. That includes a "hotfix" on Thursday meant to squash a few bugs that recently popped up. Ubisoft wants to make sure that anyone a bit disappointed the hotfix didn't offer more will get what they want in a "Title Update" in the coming days.

Among the bugs, this latest Assassin's Creed Valhalla patch fixed an issue that led to users no longer being able to fast travel, even to locations they already unlocked. Ironically, Ubisoft applied this fix after developers accidentally broke the game with a previous patch. The update, titled v1.04, was meant to correct an issue keeping players from progressing their characters.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla launched last month with a handful of problems, but for the most part, those problems haven't been game-breaking. It also launched with promises of some rather extensive content additions "in the near future." Because Ubisoft didn't detail when exactly users could expect the major title updates, every hotfix or patch has caused the game's fanbase to wonder if they will see significant changes when they fire Valhalla up. The announcement that new content arrives next week could sate some demands for new adventures, locations, and characters.

However, whatever comes to Assassin's Creed Valhalla with this title update still isn't going to be the big expansions Ubisoft promised for 2021. Expected to land in the spring and summer next year, those larger expansions don't have official dates just yet, but Ubisoft did divulge what to expect. The first new installment is titled "Wrath of the Druids," and will see Eivor travel to Ireland to take down a particularly deadly band of cultists. In the summer, "The Siege of Paris" lands and brings the game's take on the French capital's infamous Viking siege.

Since launch, those who played Assassin's Creed Valhalla often note the many improvements and changes released for the game with impressive regularity. There isn't much doubt Ubisoft has tried to make it clear that if there is a problem with their newest project, they want to fix it before it hampers the enjoyment of the game. Now users won't have to wait long to see if the next update will add to their enjoyment.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
