Assassin's Creed Valhalla continues to be updated since its release back in November of 2020. The most recent addition to the Assassin's Creed franchise just saw its latest expansion, The Siege of Paris, release this week. Based on real events from the 9th century, this DLC brings players to the city of lights before it was lit. And it puts players into one of the more significant events of that time period.
The Siege of Paris is live now but, with other events ongoing for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, players can struggle to locate exactly how to start their journey to Francia. This guide will help those players who have struggled to get the DLC to download and for those looking for its in-game starting point.
How To Download The Siege of Paris
Ubisoft announced that this DLC would be released at different times and dates for different regions and subscription levels. By the time of this article, the DLC is available across all platforms.
For players who have purchased this content expansion or the Season Pass, The Siege of Paris should have downloaded already. If that hasn't happened, then players can go directly to the PlayStation or respective store and explore if it simply requires manual downloading.
Another way to ensure this expansion has been downloaded is to use the manage game option. This may be needed for the console to recognize that the DLC is available. For example, on Xbox, clicking the game in a player's game library opens up a manage game option through which players can toggle DLC and other content on or off. Once the expansion has been found and downloaded, it opens up the option to begin the DLC in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
How To Start The Siege of Paris
As with the previous expansion for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, The Siege of Paris can be started from Ravensthorpe. The game will remind players that the DLC has, in fact, been downloaded with a message on the screen.
Players should receive a letter from Randvi as well, informing them that visitors have arrived from Francia. These characters are not just tourists and, as the letter implies, they are seeking help for their clan on the outskirts of Paris.
This brings players into contact with new characters Toka and Pierre. These two are located at a new building on the outside of Ravensthorpe, just to the east. They are the key to starting The Siege of Paris.
The first conversation between the player and these characters prompts a cutscene in which their motivations are made clear. After this initial conversation, players then just have to talk to Pierre to launch the latest expansion to Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
