Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a beautiful game. Part of the reason for the high praise of Valhalla has to do with the visual fidelity, as the game shows off the gorgeous countryside of ninth-century Norway and England. With the title having been released less than a week ago, players have appreciated the stunning aesthetics of the game and have been sharing them online.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is based on Nordic times, with players controlling their Viking protagonist, Eivor. The locales that the game takes players through ranges from everything from snowy mountainous regions to warm forests to remarkable shorelines and beyond. Photo mode has helped players capture these areas in all of their glory, and the result is breathtaking.

Twitter has been abuzz with #ACPhotoMode posts. Some of the most amazing images showcase the snow-laden areas of Assasin's Creed Valhalla. Villages look both simultaneously grim and gorgeous, with cold snow shimmering in the sunlight.

Some other pictures show off the remarkable and breathtaking outdoor lighting of Assassin's Creed Valhalla in 4K with raytracing. Sunsets look especially stunning over top of the massive mountainous and waterfilled vistas of the game.

Another one of the amazing things from Assassin's Creed Valhalla in terms of visuals is the night sky. The pink clouds stretching across the air, whether in pitch dark or just at dusk, is lovely. Twitter users have been able to capture the moments in photo mode, and the starry nights, in particular, provide beauty to discover.

Although Assassin's Creed Valhalla's map seems heavy with snowy regions at first, the game opens up to showcase a variety of biomes. Some of the images that have been shared online are a reminder that Valhalla is much more than a snowy and cold video game. Images of Eivor traveling through sunlit wooded areas, by broken down castles on top of dry hills, and beyond watchtowers in the dim night can be found, as can amazingly lit images of the hot sun beating down.

With its role-playing-game elements, its settlement building gameplay, raids, its updated combat system, and stealth gameplay from its Assassin's Creed roots, Valhalla is deep and complex, something many fans enjoy, though the game is also tranquil and pretty. Sometimes, among the violence of an action-adventure game, the striking visuals can be missed, but when simply exploring the world of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the beauty becomes evident.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
