After months of rumors and speculation, Ubisoft is finally set to pull the curtain back on the upcoming Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The Viking-themed Assassin's Creed leaked a long time ago, but it's just now getting its proper reveal. However, it seems the Assassin's Creed Valhalla leaks aren't slowing down, as its release date may have leaked online.

Twitter user xj0nathan has discovered an Amazon Germany listing for an Assassin's Creed Valhalla companion novel due for release on November 17, 2020. November 17 lands on a Tuesday, and video games traditionally release on Tuesdays and Fridays. Combine this with the fact that the vast majority of Assassin's Creed games have released in the fall, and it seems as though November 17 could easily be the Assassin's Creed Valhalla release date.

However, it's worth pointing out that the companion novels for past Assassin's Creed games have not necessarily released on the same day as the games themselves. So it's possible that Assassin's Creed Valhalla will actually come out a few weeks before the novelization and launch in October instead. This wouldn't be terribly surprising, as Assassin's Creed OdysseyOrigins, and Syndicate all launched in October.

Luckily, Assassin's Creed fans may not have to wait long at all to find out if this leak accurately predicts the Assassin's Creed Valhalla release date. Ubisoft is set to properly reveal Assassin's Creed Valhalla in a presentation that's mere hours away from the time of this writing, and it's possible that the game's release date will be announced then. Fans should keep their expectations in check on that front, but anyone interested in the game should be sure to tune in just in case.

The Assassin's Creed franchise has enjoyed somewhat of a renaissance in recent years thanks to a shift to a more RPG focus and spreading out the releases a bit more. Both Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey earned strong reviews from critics, and it will definitely be interesting to see if Assassin's Creed Valhalla can continue the momentum. So far, reaction to the game's Viking theme has been pretty positive, but not much has actually been shown of the game just yet.

Fans should be sure to tune in to the Assassin's Creed Valhalla reveal presentation at 8am PT.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is in development for unspecified platforms.
