Shortly ahead of Assassin's Creed Valhalla's release, shoe designer Reebok has announced shoes based on the game. Ubisoft Nordic made the announcement in a tweet posted on October 8.

The tweet doesn't show the design of the shoes, nor does it offer information like pricing. However, it does tell consumers to "not miss the epic arrival" of the shoes. The tweet includes the hashtag #LikeAViking, which plays on the game's Viking backdrop and Scandinavian setting. It also includes a clip showing the game's logo and an aurora against a navy blue sky.

Reebok and other shoe designers have made crossover designs before. For instance, Reebok created shoes based on the movie Aliens for Alien Day earlier this year. Nike has also released a shoe design that resembled the color scheme of the Nintendo 64, and Adidas recently put out shoes based on Squirtle and Pikachu from the Pokemon series. Puma also released sneakers based on the Super Mario franchise in honor of the iconic plumber's 35th anniversary.

While there are custom Assassin's Creed shoe designs out there, this will be the first time an installment is promoted by a shoe design based on the series. The scarcity of details may be frustrating to some, though Ubisoft Nordic emphasizes the shoes are coming soon.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be the first new Assassin's Creed game to launch since 2018. The game is set to take a departure from the franchise's usual focus on stealth and place an emphasis on brutal combat and exploration, though Assassin's Creed Valhalla will have social stealth elements. This type of stealth allows players to blend in crowds as a means of escaping danger and strategically tracking a target.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will launch November 10 on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, and release November 12 on PlayStation 5.
