Archery in Assassin's Creed Valhalla is very powerful, and players that love it no doubt invested in upgrading their quiver capacity quick. Having the ability to carry 30 arrows is amazing, as with well-placed shots that could mean 30 dead enemies. That's not even including arrows from skills like Valhalla's explosive arrow or arrow volley. Unfortunately, a recently discovered bug in the game is resetting players' quiver levels back down to zero.

For those that don't know, Assassin's Creed Valhalla recently added its first seasonal event, the Yule Festival. While fans are thrilled to see the game already getting events that add new content and rewards, the excitement faded quickly after discovering all the bugs that came along with it.

This bug is particularly damaging as it has long term effects that can change the way players approach combat in the game. Compared to something like Assassin's Creed Valhalla's drunk bug, the quiver bug is much more frustrating and annoying, and hopefully is a high priority on Ubisoft's to-do list.

It's not entirely clear what triggers this bug, but it definitely has something to do with the patch that added in the Yule Festival. Some players suspect that it is triggered by partaking in the Yule Festival Archery Contest, but that isn't definitively confirmed just yet. To make matters worse, though there is a fix that has been working for many players, some have reported that even this hasn't reverted the bug properly.

The first thing players need to do is head to the Vinland area and fire all of their arrows. To be safe, it's best to do this with all three arrow types in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, so players should switch between Light, Hunter, and Predator bows to make sure they have no arrows in their inventory. After doing that, head back to England and purchase arrows from the shop. Theoretically, players should now be able to purchase back up to whatever their previous cap is, and the bug shouldn't trigger again. Just to be safe, stay away from the archery challenge in the Yule Festival.

As previously mentioned, this isn't working for some players, and no one is really sure why. One hypothesis is that it only works if players have already been to Vinland before triggering the glitch, while others think it could just be random chance as to whether it works or not. Either way, Ubisoft should be stepping in soon to fix the bug, but until then it may be best to invest resources elsewhere instead of into the quiver.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
