Assassin's Creed Valhalla takes a fresh approach to traditional RPG side quests with new World Events. These World Events are scattered all around the world of Assassin's Creed Valhalla. World Events are short, easy to complete quests with some providing a fair bit of humor. This guide will explore one of the more unique World Events in Assassin's Creed Valhalla; Otta, Son of Slugga.
Otta, Son of Slugga is a unique quest due to Otta being voice acted by the LA Dodgers outfielder and first baseman, Cody Bellinger. Bellinger plays the fitting role of an NPC who is praised for how well he can hit a rock with very spiky bat. This Assassin's Creed Valhalla World Event is located north east of Dudmastun Lake and Wenlocan Abbey, on the east side of Sciropescire. Players will need to approach and speak with the children to start this World Event.
The Otta, Son of Slugga World Event starts off with some short dialogue and a demonstration of Otta's rock hitting skills. Afterwards the player will make the choice to challenge Otta's best time. Eivor will use their bow in place of a rock and bat. It is recommended that players equip either a Light Bow or a Hunter Bow for this Assassin's Creed Valhalla quest. The player will need to hit all five dummies before the thirty second timer expires to complete this World Event.
The dummies locations from left to right are as follows:
- Left side of the house on ground level
- On top of the left side of the house
- Next to the main tree in front of the player
- To the right of the previous dummy, in front of the right side of the house
- The last dummy is found on the right side corner of the house
When players have successfully shot all five dummies within the time limit, they will have completed this unique World Event. Completing this World Event will award players with a Mystery completion for Sciropescire and some experience points. Players will also be treated to some dialogue that helps tie in this Assassin's Creed Valhalla World Event with real life baseball. Last but not least players will receive an in-game item the Rock with Writing with "Cody 'B'" written on the stone.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla certainly has its fair share of easter eggs. Luckily, baseball fans and Assassin's Creed Valhalla fans can replay this easter egg as many times as they would like. If players approach Otta after completing the World Event, they can choose to play the mini game again.
