Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories adds some brand new content to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, including some weapons for players to obtain. One of those new weapons is the Hero’s Sword, and fans that have spent some time with AC Odyssey may already be familiar with it. For those players that would like to get their hands on the Hero’s Sword in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, details on where it comes from can be found in this guide.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Hero’s Sword Location

The first step toward obtaining the Hero’s Sword is to travel to the Isle of Skye, a map that was added to the game as part of the aforementioned Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories. To reach this map, players will need to start a quest called “A Fated Encounter,” which should be in their quest lists if they have updated AC Valhalla and fulfilled a certain prerequisite. Specifically, that prerequisite is to complete the “A Wise Friend” quest, which upgrades a fan’s Settlement to Level 4.

Upon reaching the Isle of Skye in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, players that are on the hunt for the Hero’s Sword will need to travel to the map’s north end. In fact, fans will need to make it all the way to the island's northernmost coast, where they will find a location called Duntulm Camp. While players should not have too much trouble tracking down this camp, the following video showcases its precise position for those that prefer a visual reference.

Now that a player has reached Duntulm Camp, all that is left to do is loot the Wealth chest that is found there and claim the Hero’s Sword. That said, AC Valhalla fans will need to obtain a Duntulm Camp Chest Key in order to open the cache, and there are a couple of different ways to find such a key. One way is to slay Goliath, an enemy that is positioned near the prisoners at the northeast corner of the camp, and another is to pick the key up from inside of the red tent near the coast.

Regardless of how a player ultimately obtains the Duntulm Camp Chest Key, they should take it to the nearby Wealth chest and grab their Hero’s Sword. For those fans that are curious, this weapon in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla increases both assassinsation and stealth damage when it is equipped, and indeed players may find those bonuses quite helpful as they continue to explore the Isle of Skye.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
