The floodgates on Assassin's Creed Valhalla have opened, officially revealing everything from its confirmed Viking Era setting and teases of Odin to male/female Eivor and the contents of the AC Valhalla Collector's Edition. From the cinematic trailer until now, information has been relatively focused on game details, with this trailer showing some footage directly captured on the Xbox Series X.

Now, at the Xbox Series X event, Ubisoft has given the world its first glimpse at gameplay. What was shown was only a teaser of what's to come, but hopefully, it whets the whistles of all those excited for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. It's a loose interpretation of what gameplay means, though.

The brief in-game moments below show off locations such as Stonehenge, a horn being blown prior to a Viking raid, and a hut and seemingly something burning. It shows off new siege weapons and weapons for Eivor, such a a bow and the ability to throw axes. All of this, of course, captured on Xbox Series X gameplay for Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Notably, however, gameplay is very sparse and loosely defined here. It is representative of gameplay on the Xbox Series X, but fans expecting something more akin to a full demonstration should note that this is more of a teaser trailer. Chances are, an in-depth dive by Ubisoft will take place later this summer and prior to Assassin's Creed Valhalla's release date, perhaps even a full-blown demonstration at a conference of its own. After all, while this is the first demonstration of Xbox Series X footage, it is also releasing on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, an Xbox One. AC: Valhalla does support Smart Delivery for Xbox One and Series X.

More information will become available in the coming months, leading to its release. For now, fans of the franchise have plenty of reasons to be hyped for Assassin's Creed Valhalla and what's down the pipeline.
