Assassin’s Creed Valhalla places a heavy emphasis on armor. Long gone are the days where clothing was merely cosmetic as players assassinated targets from the shadows. With how much combat is expected in the game, Assassin's Creed Valhalla players need to rely on having proper gear for their playstyle. One armor set is perfect for melee defense, and finding it isn’t terribly difficult either.
The Galloglach armor is a Wolf set that gives players increased defense when they defeat an enemy. This set is perfect for melee fighters or those who aren’t confident in their stealth skills and want added protection. The set is made up of a chest piece, bracers, cape, trousers, and a helm. All of these pieces can be found around mid-game and are located in Licolnscire and Essexe.
Chest
The Galloglach chest armor can be found in Lincolnscire at the Spalding Bandit Lair. Players need to find a key near the hut to unlock it and claim this piece. By repeatedly using Odin’s Sight, the key can be made relatively easy to find. Eivor can hide behind the huts if enemies are too close for comfort.
Bracers
The region of Lincolnscire also contains the bracers, but this time in Lincoln proper. Players need to head to the center of town to find a heavily guarded building. How Eivor enters the building is up to the player, but this piece is waiting inside without any sort of lock or puzzle.
Cape
This armor piece is found in Essexe at the Brentwood Outpost. Located not far from one of the Fly Agaric mushroom challenges, the cape is locked inside a hut similar to the chest. Eivor must once again rely on Odin’s Sight to find the key while avoiding the enemies all around.
Trousers
The trousers piece of the Galloglach armor set is found in Lincolnscire at the Bolingbroc Castle. This one is just like the chest and cape as it sits in a guarded building. The player can simply hide from the enemies and use Odin’s Sight to find the key, avoiding the guards entirely. That is, if they don’t want to fight all of the enemies first, of course.
Helm
The final piece of the set is in Halstead Outpost in Essexe. There is a metal grate on the building’s roof that players must get to. Once there, they need to shoot through the grate in order to open the door f0r Eivor to walk through. After this, they can simply walk in and claim this last armor piece.
