Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players have plenty to find during their adventures through the story. From powerful assassination targets to strange NPCs, there is always a reason to explore almost every region in the game. One of these reasons is a series of challenges that involve mushrooms and puzzles, which can be difficult for even the best Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players.

Fly Agaric challenges appear in nearly every region of the game. These fourteen trials show up as mushrooms icons on the map and reward players with extra XP if they can complete each challenge. Some of these challenges are simple puzzles while others involve taking on formidable enemies. While the clues given to Eivor are often vague, players can simply read below in order to find the correct solution for each challenge.

Cent

Eivor can discover clues to this challenge by inspecting the rock spiral and noticing different spots along it that connect to each gate. As an example, the first one shows a boat with fish and a basket, marking the floating fish gate as first. The correct order of the gates is floating fish, fire, nature with roots, then finally the flying birds.

East Anglia

This challenge is located not far from the Ash-Spear’s hidden location. Another simple challenge, this mushroom requires players to climb up stone platforms to reach a gate to the right. There should be a statue beside the gate that indicates which one Eivor should walk through.

Essexe

For this challenge, Eivor needs to interact with different flames and turn some of them blue. If the player is facing the flames, then the first, fourth, and fifth flames need to be blue. The correct sequence for this is blue, red, red, blue, blue, red.

Eurvicscire

This Fly Agaric challenge simply requires the player to fight against several Valhalla beasts, including boars and wolves. Healing supplies are a must if Eivor is to survive this fight. The challenge will end once all of the foes have been defeated.

Glowecestrescire

Players need to change the colors of flames in this challenge. Nearby arrows allow Eivor to shoot at the flames according to the symbol on the ship’s flag. Player must be careful not to miss the small brazier in the middle of the line of flames. The correct sequence for this challenge is red, blue, blue, blue, red, blue, red.

Grantebridgescire

Here, players need to light certain braziers in order to exit the challenge. Braziers can be lit by interacting with them and turning them blue. Out of the five braziers, only the three directly in front of the archways should be blue. If the player is facing the gate and numbers the braziers clockwise—starting with the one in front of the exit gate—then one, three, and four should all be lit to complete this challenge.

Hamtunscire

This is one of the most difficult fights for Fly Agaric challenges. There are two archers, a boar, and Jotnar-Guld. It is recommended that the player focus on the ranged fighters first to get them out of the way, then take down the boar. This allows Eivor to fight Jotnar-Guld however the player chooses. The challenge is completed once all four foes are defeated.

Ledecestrescire

For this challenge, players simply need to follow a seal through a series of gates. This animal can move a little slowly at times, so patience is key here. As long as the player follows it correctly, this challenge is one of the easiest ones to complete.

Lincolnscire

Eivor will need to take down a hoard of bears during this challenge. Players should make sure they have whatever supplies necessary for this fight. Once the bears are all defeated, the challenge will be complete.

Oxenefordscire

This Fly Agaric challenge is located near the first clue for The Lathe’s identity and location. Another of the fairly simple challenges, this scenario requires the player to enter the gates in a specific order. If the player numbers the gates from left to right, then the correct sequence is 3, 4, 1, 2, then 5.

Sciropescire

For this challenge, players must turn three flames. There are more flames than necessary, so players need to look for ones surrounded by large rocks. As an indicator of what to look for, the Fly Agaric itself has rocks nearby as a marker for the correct flames. Once the correct flames have been turned, the exit gate will appear.

Snotinghamscire

This challenge is a fight with three enemies that each have a separate fighting style. Parrying works perfectly here as each enemy can die to a stun attack. Players should focus on one enemy at a time while avoiding the attacks of the others. Healing supplies are a good idea to help Eivor complete this challenge.

Suthsexe

Here is another of the battle challenges, but this time with wolves and a bear. Once these beasts are defeated, two Jotunn will appear in the field as well. Players need to stock up on healing items for this fight in order to survive this attack. Once the enemies are defeated, the challenge will be finished.

Rygjafylke

After reading the paper found near the statues, the player will discover that they must walk through the gates in a certain order. Eivor must simply walk through the gates in the order that the statues are facing. If the player is facing the statues, Thrutheim is the gate on the right, Freya is the gate on the left, and finally, the All-Father is the gate facing the statues.
