Assassin's Creed Valhalla players can build the Hunter's Hut in Ravensthorpe in order to gain access to a wide variety of rewards. On the surface, these hunting commissions are simple, players just need to gather up the necessary materials and bring them back to receive their rewards, but they are often more complicated than that for a number of reasons. Drop rates for these items tend to be very low, requiring Eivor to kill a lot of animals to complete just one of these, and sometimes its unclear where to even get certain items. The most vexing of these delivery requests has to be dog fangs, as players have struggled to find their source.

The obvious answer is that players get dog fangs by killing dogs, but no one wants to do that. There's a heavy emphasis in gaming about being able to pet dogs, and players tend to get upset when they're forced to kill them. Assassin's Creed Valhalla doesn't force players to do this, but certain rewards are locked behind this heinous act.

If it's any consolation, players won't get dog fangs by slaughtering domesticated dogs in town, so there's no need to go killing Fido in an effort to fulfill a hunter's commission. Instead, only hostile dogs will drop dog fangs, but these are very few in number and the drop rate is even lower than other items. Wolves won't work for this, as they will drop Wolf Claws instead, so players will have to specifically seek out hostile dogs.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Dog Fang Location

Though they may show up in other locations, the most well-known farming spot for these is in Cent at the Rouecistre Blockade. Here players should find at least two hostile dogs that look like Doberman. Beyond this, players have also found some that spawn in Hamtunscire to the east of Readingum Abbey (just follow the Thames river east as shown on the map above). Unfortunately, since the drop rate for dog fangs is so low, players will need to kill a lot of dogs in order to get the items from the Hunter's Hut commissions.

It should be said that there don't seem to be any exclusive items from Hunter's Hut rewards, so players can choose to ignore this feature altogether. For those that don't fancy romping around England killing every fox, dog, and bunny in sight, this might be the best option. Otherwise, head to Cent and Hamtunscire and start looking for hostile dogs.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
