Since the release of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft has been going out of its way to turn over every stone it can when it comes to covering the Norse world and its expansive mythology. Players have been able to explore several corners of the Norse world between the base game and the DLCs, from the Viking expansion into western Europe to the dying days of Asgard. This exploration is set to continue as Ubisoft is set to release another major DLC before the end of its financial year.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla drops players into the boots of clan leader Eivor as they lead their clan from the harsh shores of Norway to medieval England. Eivor is introduced to the Assassins predecessors, the Hidden Ones, during their journey across England as they claim land and forge alliances with the various Anglo-Saxon leaders in England. Players also get the chance to explore Asgard as Odin, leader of the Aesir, during the realm's final days to learn its connection to the Ancient Ones.

The game has already received two major DLCs with the Wrath of the Druids and Siege of Paris expansions, alongside various smaller updates to the game. As reported by PCGamesN, Ubisoft has now confirmed in its latest fiscal report that it will continue its support of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, saying a new expansion is set to drop within the next five months to close out its financial year. This means a third major DLC pak would be releasing for Valhalla before March 2022, which marks the end of the financial year for the video game industry.

Ubisoft's confirmation comes on the heels of dataminers leaking the potential title of what could be the upcoming expansion. The DLC, allegedly titled Dawn of Ragnarok, would drop Eivor in the realm of Svartalfheim and provide players with a suite of new abilities and tools at their disposal. Little else was leaked about the game, but given the title, the Norse version of armageddon would likely mark a major shift in the game's world.

Despite previous delays for Valhalla's post-release content, Ubisoft has affirmed their long-term support for the game especially with no new game set to release in 2022. This was a notion the company repeated in the financial report, noting in less than a year Valhalla is the "2nd largest profit generating game in Ubisoft history." Additional content for players to sink their teeth into will only help to bolster the game's success which Ubisoft will likely continue touting until the next Assassin's Creed game.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is currently available on Amazon Lune, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
