Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has countless hours of side missions and objectives for players to complete. From hunting down legendary animals to completing Standing Stones puzzles, there is plenty for players to work on while taking a break from the main story. One of the side missions in Assassin's Creed Valhalla involves hunting down members from the Order of the Ancients. While some of these characters are easy to find, others—like The Anvil—require very specific clues to track down and eliminate.
The Order of the Ancients is a large organization with over two dozen members in its ranks. Some of these members are defeated during the main campaign, but over a dozen are just out in the world waiting for Eivor to track them down. Each Order member is found by following a series of clues that provide their name and location. The hardest step is simply tracking down the first clue itself.
First Clue
As with most of the Order of the Ancient members, the first clue to locating The Anvil is found by taking down a Zealot out in the world. In this instance, the Zealot is Leofgifu the Scabbard and can be found in Grantebridgescire. Players can find her standing near the river and can easily assassinate her. Once slain, Eivor can collect the first clue from her corpse and begin hunting down The Anvil himself.
The Smithy
The first clue will take the player to the smithy near St. Albanes Abbey in Oxenefordscire. The player must find circular ruins in the middle of the region. Nearby, there is a blacksmith station set up with a large bench. On top of the bench lies a note with The Anvil’s true identity--Palatinus Patrick--and his location. Eivor can find this Order member in Oxeneforda, at his forge.
Assassination
Players must make their way to the western border of Oxenefordscire. Once in Oxeneforda, they must locate the forge and the Order of the Ancients member attending it. While The Anvil can simply be assassinated, players should always bring their strongest Assassin’s Creed Valhalla weapons with them in case a fight does break out. Once Patrick is slain, Eivor can close this chapter of the Order and cross him off the list.
There is more than a dozen other Order of the Ancients members for the player to hunt down and assassinate once The Anvil is eliminated. Players can take up the challenge now and continue hunting them down one by one, or simply save them for the next time they need a break from the story. However the other members are defeated, they are sure to give players something fun to do for a long time.
