Assassin's Creed Unity made an early appearance at E3 2014 when the four-player co-op mode was revealed during the Xbox presentation, but the stealth action title wasn't satisfied with just that. AC Unity returned to the stage during Ubisoft's conference and gave fans even more to look forward to...

It was no surprise to see Assassin's Creed return to the spotlight when Ubisoft began its presentation, but we didn't expect quite as much as the company was ready to deliver. Ubisoft not only released yet another gorgeous cinematic trailer (these are becoming a must for all Assassin's Creed sequels at this point), but the company also confirmed a release date for the title. Gamers will be able to get their hands on Assassin's Creed Unity for PC, PS4, and Xbox One starting October 28.

The cinematic trailer may not reveal any addition gameplay footage, but it does do a pretty great job of setting the scene and highlighting what seems to be the most exciting new feature - four player co-op. A group of four assassins find themselves in the middle of the French Revolution circa 1789 (not a great place and time to be if you remember your world history), where they team up to take down their targets.

As a moody Tears for Fears cover plays over footage of riots breaking out and assassins leaping from rooftop to rooftop and scaling buildings side by side, it's pretty difficult not to get excited. The prospect of tackling an Assassin's Creed campaign not only with one friend, but with up to three, seems like it is going to be a pretty big draw to this installment in the franchise.

As if the gorgeous cinematic trailer and release date weren't enough, Ubisoft followed the presentation up with some details about the collector's edition of the upcoming game, as well...

A pre-order page has launched for Unity, confirming a Season Pass and a filled-to-the-brim collector's edition. Varying versions of the collector's edition will be available, depending on which retailer you choose to pre-order with.

Three collector’s editions are available for Assassin’s Creed Unity. The Guillotine Collector Case is available exclusively via the Uplay shop and features the Guillotine Collector box, including the Arno Guillotine figurine, an Art book, a customized Tarot game and other unique items, as well as extra in-game content, and can be pre-ordered on the Uplay shop...

Also available are the Notre Dame Edition, exclusively available at a selected local partner and including the Arno Gargoyle figurine with other bonus content, and the Bastille Edition including the Artbook Soundtrack, lithographs and in-game content in an exclusive Jumbo Steel case.

The collector's editions are full of very tempting goodies that will be difficult for hardcore Assassin's Creed fans to turn down.

Are you excited about the prospect of playing Unity with a group of friends or do you prefer to make your Assassin's Creed experiences a solo event? Will you be shelling out the extra cash for a collector's edition? Let us know in the comments.
