If you’re an Assassin’s Creed fan, or even just a casual observer of Ubisoft’s massive series, chances are you’ve seen several assassin-themed pieces of clothing. Just a quick perusal of Etsy, for example, will show plenty of Assassin’s Creed items available, most of them meant to replicate the trademark hood of the Assassin Brotherhood.
However, most of those items are handmade by fans and not by an official clothing manufacturer. And while they may look appealing, some might be wary of spending $100+ on an arts and crafts site. Enter Musterbrand, whose new line of Assassin’s Creed items is high quality and seemingly perfect for AC fan.
Some may remember Musterbrand for their Watch Dogs clothing line, which featured a few jackets and balaclavas meant to mimic those of Aiden Pearce. Now, the company has come out with a new line themed around the forthcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity.
The AC Unity line includes a handful of jackets meant to resemble those of Arno Dorian, in addition to a few more generic coats and trinkets. There’s even a messenger bag and button set that, while not directly tied into the game, fit the French Revolution aesthetic perfectly.
However, at more than $100 apiece, these Assassin’s Creed Unity items are not going to come cheap. The Arno Coat, for example, retails for a very pricey $299, but looks pretty awesome regardless.
So, maybe these Assassin’s Creed clothing items are only reserved for super fans, but it’s still cool to see the craftsmanship of Ubisoft’s virtual world brought to life. Since the very beginning, the Assassin’s Creed franchise has cut its cloth (pun intender) with striking lead characters and Unity is no different. Arno may have traded the iconic white for a more subdued blue, but his garb is no less detailed and no less cool.
With only about two months until the launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity, gamers will be able to get a closer look at Arno’s gear on both next-gen platforms and PC. Unity represents a big shift for the franchise, as it moves into the French Revolution on the back of an impressive new engine. This is the AC game people will be talking about this fall, so why not capitalize with a sweet AC jacket.
Would you buy any of these Assassin’s Creed Unity clothing items? If you could have any Assassin protagonists full get-up whose would it be?
Assassin’s Creed Unity releases November 11, 2014 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
