It has been confirmed that the U.K. will be getting a special version of Assassin's Creed Revelations called the Ottoman Edition. This version of AC: Revelations is basically an early "Game of the Year" edition that features all of the current DLC. This special edition will be only available to gamers in the U.K. starting next month.
Earlier this month we pointed out that international retailers leaked the existence of Assassin's Creed Revelations: Ottoman Edition, before pulling the info from their websites. Not only do we now have the box art for the re-release, but also the release date of March 30th in the U.K. for a suggested retail price between £30 and £40.
Gamers in other territories shouldn't be too disappointed about not being able to purchase the Ottoman Edition, since it's very possible Ubisoft will release another special edition for the rest of us. Until then you can check out the box art for Assassin's Creed Revelations: Ottoman Edition below.

The Ottoman Edition comes with the three DLC packs that were released for Assassin's Creed Revelations up until this point: The two multiplayer DLC packs The Ancestor's Character Pack and The Mediterranean Traveller Map Pack. This edition will also feature the first single-player DLC for Revelations, The Lost Archive. North America does not have a release date for The Lost Archive however the DLC does have a trailer which displays a February 28th release in Europe.

It's a bit early for a special edition of this type and usually, publishers wait until about a year after the original game's release before launching a complete package. Ubisoft is attempting to boost sales of AC: Revelations and pull in those who missed the title the first time around since it did launch during a very busy Fall season last year. We also cannot forget that Assassin's Creed 3 is releasing less than a year after Revelations with an October 30th date already set, so no time to wait for re-releases.
Assassin's Creed Revelations is available now for all territories. Assassin's Creed Revelations: Ottoman Edition will launch on March 30th in the U.K. for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
