The fourth Assassin's Creed installment in four years debuted last week and while it took a slight hit in its reception for following the Call of Duty formula of annualized releases, its story and conclusion was rather epic and fitting for the series, leaving fans very curious for the story of the next game in the Ubisoft series. Read our Assassin's Creed Revelations review for more on that.
While Assassin's Creed Revelations remains graphically similar to its predecessor, the artists and designers at Ubisoft never fail at creating new and wonderful cities, landscapes and vistas for players to traverse. Credit most go to artists including Martin Deschambault who have created some of the incredible concept art behind Revelations.
Deschambault has a massive gallery of Assassin's Creed Revelations art on his official site, dechambo.com, which also includes art from the previous two Assassin's Creed titles, Wet, Star Wars Lethal Alliance and Prince of Persia.
We've picked out some of our favorite for you to see, but be sure to check out Martin's own site for more of his great work which was crafted on behalf of Ubisoft Montreal:
Needless to say, the art is gorgeous and some of these fans may recognize from the epic Assassin's Creed Revelations E3 2011 cinematic trailer. Now that Ubisoft Motion Pictures has come to a deal with Sony Pictures to bring Assassin's Creed to the silver screen as a major blockbuster franchise - with Ubisoft maintaining creative control of the Assassin's Creed film - Martin Deschambault is probably someone who they should have doing art for the film as well.
Since Deschambault has worked on all three of the Ezio-focused Assassin's Creed titles, we expect him to be working on next year's sequel as well. We still don't know what title the next game in the series is taking, but if you're a fan, be sure to check out what we'd like to see from Assassin's Creed 3.
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is available now for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
