Microsoft announced today that it has partnered with Ubisoft to create two Xbox One S bundles featuring Assassin's Creed Origins. Available starting October 27, Assassin's Creed Origins launch date, the bundles will be offered with either a 1TB or 500GB hard drive. The larger Xbox One S will retail for $349.00, while the smaller oddly doesn't have a price for North America just yet. If current retail prices are any indication, it should sell for around $300.

Each of the bundles will come with not just Assassin's Creed Origins, but also Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. Both games will be available through download codes, rather than discs or pre-load. In the box will also be an Xbox Wireless Controller, a free one-month subscription to the Xbox Game Pass program, and a 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial. Of course, the Xbox One S console is also included, with its 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player and 4K video streaming capabilities.

The Assassin's Creed Origins bundle will join a growing collection of Xbox One S options that Microsoft has put together going into 2017's holiday season. Bundles featuring Middle-earth: Shadow of War and Madden NFL 18, as well as first-party bundles like the limited edition Minecraft Xbox One S, will offer new buyers a variety of choices. And with Black Friday still over a month and a half away, more bundles are likely to be announced soon.

In Assassin's Creed Origins players take on the role of Bayek as he struggles against the rule of the current Pharoah and the mysterious masked organization that controls everything in secret. Bayek is the brother of the deposed Cleopatra, who in tandem with Bayek's actions is marshaling loyal forces to take back control. And amid this turmoil, the forces of Caesar are on the verge of invading.

Assassin's Creed Origins is lined up to be one the biggest game releases of late 2017. After resting the franchise for a year and giving that time to the development of Assassin's Creed Origins, fans of the franchise are curious to see whether Ubisoft used the time wisely. Assassin's Creed Origins could prove a resurgence for the still successful but floundering franchise. That Ubisoft is willing to put this new title in a major console bundle shows a lot of confidence in the product.

Assassin's Creed Origins releases on October 27 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The Xbox One S bundles will be available the same day.
