Assassin's Creed fans after a taste of the new game in the series, Assassin's Creed Origins, first had a look at the game during E3 2017 courtesy of a gameplay trailer for the Xbox One X as part of Microsoft's presentation. Thankfully, Ubisoft's own showcase did not disappoint, unveiling a stunning location-themed trailer that revealed the incredible landscapes of Egypt.

This new Assassin's Creed Origins trailer showed off the varied landscapes that the player character will have to traverse over the course of the game, from the desert plains through to what appears to be the estuaries of the Nile. Meanwhile, the action revealed in the video itself suggests that not only will there be some varied and dangerous human enemies, including horseback riders, but also animal threats to deal with at the same time.

All in all, it certainly looks like Origins will build upon the generally well-received locations of Assassin's Creed Syndicate. Those interested in seeing the full E3 2017 Egypt trailer for Assassin's Creed Origins can do so below.

In terms of trailer content, this year's E3 has been kind to fans of the Assassin's Creed series. Alongside the aforementioned gameplay trailer, the Microsoft presentation also revealed a cinematic trailer for Assassin's Creed Origins that gave players a first real glimpse of the title in an official standing.

Of course, many long-term fans of the series had already gained an expectation of the game before E3 2017 had even set off. This was down to a number of leaks of Assassin's Creed Origins, including one that released the game's release date and story. Now that Ubisoft has been able to make all the information on the game official, at least gamers now know which of the leaks proved to be genuine and which were false.

Now, gamers have a little more knowledge about the game, and by the end of E3 will certainly have a better idea about how the game is shaping up. Hopefully, the title will be able to go down as a great addition to the Assassin's Creed franchise when it releases in October.

Assassin’s Creed Origins launches on October 27, 2017 for Xbox One, Xbox One X, PlayStation 4, and PC.
