And with so much to explore in this ARPG origin story, we thought it was time to dive back into this list of the Assassin's Creed Origin's very best bows.

18 Composite Bow

As per the legend of the old Egyptian empire, the composite bow is a light bow carried as a primary weapon by those who protected the highest-ranking officials. In a modern-day context, this is the principal high-impact weapon carried by security escorts for high-level events.

Although the bow takes such importance, it is also said to be used by hunters who went out after high-damage targets like wild boar etc. The game rewards the players with the composite bow as a loot for killing Half Horn. 17 Deathstorm

Coming in as one of the oldest and finest long-range bows from 1st century Egypt, the Deathstorm comes under the Hunter Bow category and is classified as a Legendary weapon. The game provides suitable upgrades for the bow and has bonus attributes like Charging Speed and adrenaline boost when used correctly.

Players can get hold of the bow by defeating Bane of Hathor and looting his corpse. The bow has a quality of 122 and a max DPS of 707 when maxed out at Level 55.

16 Smoke & Mirrors

The Smoke and Mirrors is a predator bow that carries a little bit of historical (in-game fiction, of course) folklore with it. It is said that it is one of the finest and rare weaponry that The Iron Ram once carried.

For a more subtle context, the legendary bow is found to be carried by one of the fiercest para-militants in the game. Defeating him in battle and looting his corpse would grant players access to the bow. The bow has a quality of 123 and a max DPS of 859 when maxed out at Level 55.

15 Trophy Hunter

The Trophy Hunter not only shares a similar folklore as the Smoke and Mirrors, but also has identical stats in the upgrade tree. The legendary bow can be found in the game on the military banks of Uab Nome.

The game provides the bow as a loot reward for defeating the elephant riders Qetesh and Resheph guarding the perimeter of Uab Nome. It would be no easy task, but it certainly would be worth it. The bow has a quality of 123 and a max DPS of 859 when maxed out at Level 55.

14 Khryselakatos

Damage Max Level: 1,489

Fittingly, this potent bow was inspired by and dedicated to the Greek goddess of hunting, Artemis. It was also said to be blessed by her, granting protection to those ancient warriors who wielded it.

This legendary bow is useful in its ability to raise its user's effectiveness in multiple ways, adding to precision and spiking the ever-useful Adrenaline meter. Of course, it doesn't hurt that this is one of the most powerful bows in the game when fully upgraded.

13 Hunger Of The Underworld

Damage Max Level: 925

This enticing light bow can be had by way of the Helix Store or Nomad's Bazaar; and it's worth the investment. The bow is effective at giving players an edge in battle through a few key avenues, vastly boosting one's rate of fire and granting health on a kill.

Players can gain even more of an advantage thanks to its bleeding on hit perk. This softens up enemies and whittles down their health faster and more effectively. For such a seemingly light and simple bow, it sure has many tricks up its sleeve.

12 Lord Of Bones

This ominously-named predator bow really packs a punch when used correctly. Players can obtain it by way of an Animus mod given from Layla. While there are stronger options when it comes to raw, maxed-out power, the Lord of Bones is handy in a number of ways, especially for stealthier, tactical players.

The bow rewards a more strategic style of infiltration and fighting, with boosts in stealth damage and poison abilities. Its inflicting of bleeding further amps up the area-of-effect perks, allowing players to drop many foes swiftly and silently.

11 Jebel Barkal

The Jebel was granted as a reward by the Kushite pharaoh Piye to his Nubian generals upon victory in battle; and what a reward it is. Players that have no trouble hitting their marks will want to utilize this bow, as it grants stealth damage, combo multipliers, and ranged hit multipliers.

10 Crescent Moon

While fairly meager when it comes to raw damage output, the Crescent Moon thrives in many other areas. Inspired by the moon itself, this sleek and swift bow shines when it comes to sharp-shooting as well as quick, timely hits.

8 Jackal’s Gaze

Although The Jackal's Gaze shares its appearance with the Assessor of Ma'at, its legendary status as a warrior bow makes it unique and something to add to an Assassin's Creed Origins loadout. It is believed to have been in use since the first century of civilization and is often linked with the Egyptian god of the underworld, Anubis.

The high-precision bow is provided by Layla Hassan in the latter part of the game. The Bow has a quality of 125 and a max DPS of 1637 when maxed out at Level 55.

7 Battos' Bow

This bow is a rare collectible that once belonged to Battos 1 (or Battus 1), the founder and ruler of the city of Cyrene and its colonies. What makes this a bow of the highest caliber is the description that comes with it.

It is believed that Battos once fired an arrow that traveled so swiftly that it pierced the walls of the heavens and was never to be seen again. The bow has a quality of 117 and a max DPS of 1468 when maxed out at Level 55.

6 Wings Of Ashur

Sharing this trait of Battos' Bow, the Wings of Ashur is also dedicated to a Mesopotamia deity, Asshur. The mighty god was a personification of the city of Ashur, which rose to prominence in the 3rd millennia BC and led to the legend of it being a god by itself.

The wings are a metaphor for its rise, and hence the god was depicted as such. The bow has a quality of 121 and a max DPS of 1468 when maxed out at Level 55.

5 The Fourth Plague

There might not be a more killer name for a bow than The Fourth Plague. Of course, the bow has nothing to do with its name, but its copper and silver aesthetic provides all the right vibes for its legendary stature.

The Galatian once held the bow during the golden age of civilization, and players can acquire it as a reward by defeating him in the game. The bow has a quality of 123 and a max DPS of 1479 when maxed out at Level 55.

4 Elect Of Ra

The gods of Egypt have a wide variety of character traits and are symbols of various elements that bring out the best in every mythological story told through their names. With such a case comes a way to make the armory filled with legendary bows stylized so that they may pay homage to the deities.

One such weapon is the Elect of Ra. The golden warrior bow is everything mythological and legendary and is dedicated to the God of the Sun. It can be acquired upon defeating the Faithless one. The bow has a quality of 122 and a max DPS of 1552 when maxed out at Level 55.

3 Neith

Damage Max Level: 925

The emerald green light bow takes its name from the goddess of war and hunting in Egypt. Neith, the fierce goddess in battle, is believed to have the aim to pierce through the hardest of battle formations and strike the target at its finest precisions.

Having the bow in the loadout allows for an extra arrow in the quiver, and the weapon is found either through loot or forged by the blacksmith when at appropriate levels. The bow has a quality of 125 and a max DPS of 1567 when maxed out at Level 55.

2 Priest Of Ma'at

Damage Max Level: 1,479

A warrior bow of pristine craftsmanship and a rare legendary by itself, the Priest of Ma'at takes after the Egyptian goddess of truth and justice. Despite it being of such high caliber, the warrior bow does not shy away from getting itself dirty on the battlefield and can work wonders in long-range silent takedowns.

The bow has an additional perk of level 2 precision and level 2 bleeding on hit. The bow has a quality of 123 and a max DPS of 1615 when maxed out at Level 55.

1 Barbed Longbow

Keeping aside the sheer damage output of this weapon from the Nightmare Pack, one could be very aware of the imminent threat faced upon meeting someone carrying this longbow. The Legendary predator bow screams out death through its appearance.
