As many gamers might argue, Assassin's Creed Odyssey is one of the most highly anticipated games of fall 2018, and while many are undoubtedly excited for the base game, some could be holding out on purchasing the title until they know what direction the game's post-launch takes. Should that be the case, Ubisoft has thankfully decided to reveal its post-launch DLC plans for the forthcoming sequel in the long-running action-adventure series.

As indicated in by the trailer below, Assassin's Creed Odyssey will have a Season Pass that includes two major episodic story arcs, with the first being "Legacy of the First Blade" and the second dubbed "The Fate of Atlantis". Both of these pieces of DLC will have three episodes each that will be released over the course of six weeks. Legacy of the First Blade's content starts being rolled out December 2018, while The Fate of Atlantis begins becoming available in spring 2019.

In addition to the aforementioned episodic story arcs, Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Season Pass also includes an extensive lineup of free content that includes new narrative materials and in-game events available for all players after launch. For instance, there will be the free episodic quest lines offered up in The Lost Tales of Greece, the exploration and educational tool called "The Discovery Tour", a New Game Plus mode, and more.

Perhaps most exciting of all is the fact that Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Season Pass will also include two free games from the series, along with all of the two titles' related pieces of DLC. To be specific, fans who pick up the forthcoming sequel's Season Pass will also get Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered and Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation Remastered.

All things considered, it definitely looks as if Ubisoft plans on supporting Assassin's Creed Odyssey for quite some time after its release. With this being the case, the development team behind the title will thankfully have plenty of time to focus on the post-launch assets due to the fact that no new game in the series is coming in 2019.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is set to launch on October 5, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
