A brand new promotional image from the tentative Assassin's Creed: Ezio Collection leaks online, providing further proof of the compendium's existence.
After Assassin's Creed: Ezio Collection appeared as a potential PS4 and Xbox One title by way of a listing from the Korean Ratings Board, it seems as if even more evidence for the bundle's eventual release is mounting. As it happens, thanks to a find from the outlet Gamesblog France, a never-before-seen piece of promotional artwork for the collection has been discovered that prominently features the protagonist Ezio, thus further pointing to the possibility that some of the top games of the last generation on PS3 and Xbox 360 are making their way to current platforms.
With this being the case, fans ought to expect to experience updated graphics with the titles within the Ezio Collection. According to Gamesblog France, the Assassin's Creed compendium will feature a 1080p resolution running at 30 FPS for the included games of Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin's Creed Revelations, each of which are listed in the image below.
On top of Assassin's Creed: Ezio Collection's enhanced graphical capabilities, it is also being reported that the anthology will include all of the DLC for the three aforementioned games. Not to mention, fans who go on to purchase the collection, which, of course, has yet to be officially announced, will receive the animated movies Assassin's Creed: Lineage and Assassin's Creed: Embers.
Should Gameblog France be correct in its assertion, then Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection is going to release this November on PS4 and Xbox One for 70€, which will amount to almost $80 should the going rate be equally translated from Euros to US dollars. Nevertheless, with Ubisoft having yet to openly declare the actuality of the collection, all of this should be taken with a grain of salt.
Talk of an Assassin's Creed anthology in the vein of Ezio Collection has been circulating for some time now, and the recent discoveries only add more fuel to the existing fire. As a matter of fact, Ubisoft filed for a domain registration several months ago in order to have the rights to a site pertaining to a collection for the action-adventure series, leading many to speculate that a compilation was not only being made to appease long-time fans and newbies desiring remastered titles, but also to promote the live-action movie based on the games.
Taking all of this into consideration, since Ubisoft has yet to officially address the existence of Assassin's Creed: Ezio Collection, there's no telling whether or not the company will actually release it. That said, though, it's important to note that the game developer and publisher has previously stated that there will be no new installment for the series in 2016, but it definitely doesn't rule out existing properties in the form of remasters.
The Assassin's Creed: Ezio Collection has yet to be announced, but if speculation is correct, it will launch sometime in November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
