The Assassin's Creed franchise has managed to be a longstanding gaming series with numerous iterations. With changing gameplay and historical focuses, each Assassin's Creed game has had a unique release strategy and this has led to several impressive cinematic trailers for the titles. A YouTuber has now transformed a trailer for Assassin's Creed Revelations by using LEGO to recreate its carefully choreographed scenes.

The Assassin's Creed games allow players to experience important events in the lives of assassin's in different locations and periods. As a result, the games have managed to travel from Egypt in 49 BC to industrialized England. While many players have their own thoughts on the best Assassin's Creed game, and each game has its unique selling point, some may be tempted to visit the nine-year-old Assassin's Creed Revelations after seeing this fan-made content.

The Youtube channel, Productionetilego, has released a remastered version of their earlier work which remade the entire Assassin's Creed Revelations trailer with LEGO. The result is outstanding as it mirrors every movement and camera angle from the original trailer. The YouTuber had originally made a mirroring trailer 8-years ago as their first video upload, but decided to revisit the channel during the coronavirus pandemic which has led to many people isolating themselves. The result has been new content on a YouTube channel that has laid dormant for six years and this video has been reignited admiration for the creator called Etienne.

Etienne explained the details of his work in an interview, "It’s a repetitive process: build the decor, do the photo framing, make the camera movement, and, last but not least, animate LEGO" and further detailed that this particular video took them two months to create. Looking at this video many will wonder why the impressive work of the YouTuber stopped, and it seems that the talented Lego creator has struggled to find the time alongside other commitments. Given the time required to create these videos that seems like an understandable reason to put the channel on pause. With that said, despite the great variety of video game content made during the coronavirus pandemic, this video is one of the most impressive.

While many fans are looking forward to the next Assassin's Creed, this recreated trailer may encourage some players to revisit the concluding chapter of the Ezio trilogy. Others will simply enjoy an impressive piece of filmmaking by a dedicated fan of the series.

Assassin's Creed Revelations is available for Playstation 3, PlayStation 4, Android, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
