As soon as the kill count across all platforms reaches 25 million, Rome will become available to play in the nighttime.
To check the progress of the kill count simply head over to the Assassin’s Creed Network where an up to date number will be displayed. It may take some time for players to hit 25 Million, but if enough gamers pick up, or are gifted, the title for the holidays (Game Rant recommends you do), some decent headway can be made soon.
It might not exactly be the type of new map gamers who have become well acquainted with Brotherhood’s multiplayer offerings are looking for, but it certainly is a decent change of pace. Not only is it a worthwhile DLC treat, but it can be achieved by doing nothing more than assassinating your fellow online combatants. If only other multiplayer titles rewarded gamers for logging a ton of play hours.
It’s a relatively simple concept that can do two things for a title – providing an incentive that requires a community based interaction – and show off how many hardcore gamers a title has playing it on a regular basis.
On top of this news of the Rome at nighttime variant don’t forget that a recently released map and mode were provided as a little present from the development team. Ubisoft is doing all it can to keep a serious Game of the Year contender going. In light of the game-breaking Animus bug, the developer is ensuring that interest in the title will continue through the New Year. Also don’t forget there is another map and mode set for release in January. It’s definitely the perfect time to do some assassinating.
What do you think about getting to play through Rome at nighttime? Does the prospect intrigue you or would you rather assassinate other players in the broad daylight?
