There's no doubt that the video game publisher and developer Ubisoft is hoping to attract both newcomers and long-time fans alike to the next entry in its stealth-based action-adventure franchise with Assassins Creed Odyssey. Just recently, the company was discussing the forthcoming sequel's post-launch plans in a bid to assure potential players that it will have lots to do after the base game's completion. Among these plans is the inclusion of Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered, as an updated version of the 2012 release will be a part of Odyssey's Season Pass.

According to Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered will not only be offered as a bonus in Odyssey's Season Pass in March 2019, but also the updated iteration of the title will be available as a standalone item for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The publisher and developer stated that AC3 Remastered will boast improved “gameplay mechanics”, "ergonomics”, and will contain all its DLCs.

In addition to Assassin's Creed 3 coming in Odyssey's Season Pass, the add-on pack for the forthcoming sequel will also include two major episodic story arcs in the form of downloadable content. One will be set in Atlantis ("The Fate of Atlantis"), while the other DLC's plot focuses on the “first hero to wield the iconic hidden blade" ("Legacy of the First Blade").

Those who have their eye set on acquiring Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered and the two DLC packages in Odyssey's Season Pass would do well to know that it can be acquired through the upcoming title's Gold, Ultimate, Spartan, and Pantheon Edition, respectively. Of course, should players simply want the expansion materials and the base game, AC Odyssey's Season Pass can also be purchased on its own for $40.

All things considered, bundling Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered with Odyssey's Season Pass is a smart move on Ubisoft's behalf, as it will incentivize veterans and those who didn't give it a go the first time the chance to try it out with an enhanced look and feel. Plus, as as evidenced in Game Rant's review of the third numbered entry in the series, Ubisoft took some bold risks that paid off with the title, so offering it as an extra piece of content with Odyssey's Season Pass should only provide more bang for players' bucks.

Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered is set to be available as a standalone item at some point in March 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It will also be included in the Season Pass for Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which releases on October 5, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
